Life Update: Why I Was Never A Fitness Blogger

Hey guys!

So, I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out how to write this blog post and keep typing and then deleting what I type lol. So I’m just going to go ahead and be blunt about it 🙂

I don’t want to be defined by fitness anymore. Honestly, I want to share lifestyle content with you guys specifically focusing on fashion and my personal style. There I said it! So let me explain.

When I first started my IG, I created it as a way for me to personally stay motivated and hold myself accountable with my workouts and healthier eating habits. As time went on though, it turned into me helping others stay motivated and accountable with their fitness goals–which was awesome. But the thing is, I never sought out to be that person. It was never my intention to be this fitness blogger or “instagrammer”, but just kind of by default I fell into it I guess you could say.  And don’t get me wrong, when I was creating only fitness content I did love it–I mean, I started my IG account because it was something I was personally passionate about.

As time has gone on though I’ve realized that while I love working out and helping promote a healthy lifestyle what I really care about is helping others be the best version of themselves. Whether that’s through workouts, finding body confidence, relationship advice, outfit inspiration, makeup tips, etc! But for a while now, I’ve felt confined to this box of being this “fitness person.” I’ve continued to post fitness content on my IG because I didn’t want to let anyone down. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.

Some of you guys may or may not know this, but I actually originally created this blog to share my fashion tips and outfits–it wasn’t even fitness related! I have always loved putting together outfits and styling myself and friends, but after my IG became me solely sharing fitness content, I just figured that my blog should reflect the same. But obviously you guys know that I have been sharing a lot of lifestyle content recently and have been transitioning into more of a lifestyle blogger–that’s no surprise. However, I just feel like it’s finally time for me to take the “plunge” and take that final step into lifestyle content with more of a focus on style and fashion.

You’ll still find me sharing fitness and health content on my blog, but that will be along with the rest of my topics. My Instagram is going to be focused on overall lifestyle (so yes fitness will be part of that :)), but more specifically on my personal style and outfits (as you may have noticed already hehe). I just want to inspire and encourage others to live happy and fulfilled lives through whatever that may look like for them. I will always be here to answer any fitness questions. Fitness it still a big part of my life, but it’s just not what I feel personally called to focus on anymore. I don’t want to let anyone down, but I think at the end of the day we all have to pursue what we really love and what we’re passionate about. At the end of the day I hope you guys will join me in this next chapter so to speak. I am writing this post because I just wanted to give everyone a “heads up” and give you more insight to where my thoughts have been 🙂 I can’t thank you guys enough for support and you all mean so much to me! Please always know that! xx C

  1. This makes me so happy – and I feel so relieved for you! Haha weird ? maybe but true! Glad you feel like you can breath and be/do you again!! Can’t wait to see the future IG and blog content! Ps totally redownloaded the LikeIt app thing that you use bc it’s soooo nice to see real, “normal priced” clothing on it.

    1. Hahah, no, not weird!! I appreciate it! 😊 and yay! Yeah I never really buy expensive clothes. I have a few designer accessories and that’s pretty much it! Love being able to share practical options with you guys!! Xx
