My Go-To Eyeliners

I don’t know about you guys, but some days putting on regular eyeliner is almost as much of a struggle as trying to master the cat eye. I mean, forget trying to do a winged-tip, but just making my eyes look even takes me a hot minute. Especially when using black eyeliner; I have huge eyes yet I apply a black liner and all of the sudden my eye look like black holes? Not cute.

Not to worry though! After years of trial and error, I have found two eyeliners that are perfect for both the subtle, everyday plus bold looks. As I’ve said, I’ve tried a lot of different makeup brands and I am not partial to one over the other. I have different products from different companies just depending on what works best! However, with eyeliners, MAC products have been my favorite thus far.

From MAC, I love their Eye Kohl and Powerpoint Eye Pencil. These two eyeliners go on super easy; they are so smooth! And also, they stay on all day. Even when I’m dripping sweat working out, or laying out by the pool, they don’t rub off. The Powerpoint specifically is waterproof, but I think the Eye Kohl stays on pretty well too.

The Powerpoint has matte, shimmer, and metallic finishes. All the colors can really be worn everyday; they are very versatile. I have the color “Grey Utility” and love it. It isn’t as harsh as black, but is still dark enough to outline and define my eyes. The Eye Kohl on the other hand, comes in a matte/pearl finishes. This one applies super smoothly, and again, while it doesn’t claim to be waterproof, it stays on really well throughout the day (I never need to reapply). In this liner I have the color “Teddy.” I like this brown color because it is a mix of copper and gold. If you want something with more of a warm tone, I’d definitely recommend this shade.

Below are pictures of both colors. Again, I am not claiming to be an expert (especially in the cat eye department), BUT I applied both these “looks” in less than a minute. And for me, that is pretty damn quick!
